Use of Lasso/Bolas
You may NOT break out of lassos or bolas when hogtied or bola'd. You must wait till after the scene has ended before you may break ropes or bolas until after the player leaves the scene.
Fear RP/NVL
If you are outnumbered and outgunned in a situation you must fear for your life and comply with any order given to you. A gun to the face while unarmed means you must comply.
It is up to the hostile party to keep the threat active. If the threat is no longer active then the opposing party may use the opportunity to escape, but it must be done realistically otherwise it will be seen as not valuing life.
1v1's do not count as NVL, however, if a person NVLs during a 1v1 you may still rob them when you down them.
NVL Rules do not apply in Red zones.
Combat engagement
To engage in combat without it being RDM there MUST be prior interaction between you and the other. An interaction such as conflict or a simple "Put your hands up" is NOT enough. You must have a reason to rob or kill a another player
When using scoped weapons there still must be interaction in combat.
If 2 parties conflict the party with the sniper must make it known there is a sniper in the area.
If the combat starts before the sniper is known the sniper can be used but must be visible to all players in the combat.
Combat engagement cooldown
After an hostile interaction a group must wait an hour before engaging with the same group.
This will give both parties enough time to collect and get defensives before the next interaction.
This does not for red zone interaction, as stated in the red zone combat the losing party will lose memory anyway.
War Lording
You may push people during combat however if you do you may not shot them while they are on the ground. You must back away from the conflict and give the person a fighting chance in the situation. You may not tackle or execute a player during a conflict as well.
Criminal Timer
You may not do any criminal activity 30 minutes before and after a restart.
This includes the following
- Player robberies
- Raid robberies
- Bank Robberies
- Settlement robberies
Scenario/Player Cap
You may only have 15 people per gang/family/group.
You may only use up to 6 in a normal negative scenario.
You may only have 4 members for a store robbery/Law may use 5
You may only have 6 members for a bank/Law may use 8
You may only have 8 members for a Government Raid/Law may use 10
Combat logging
Logging out in the middle of a combat scene, while arrested, or in any RP scene that may have any negative actions is prohibited.
This also includes respawning in the middle of a Conflict RP.
You may not respawn if you have just robbed a settlement, Bank, or a raid and were killed during the interaction until the red zone is over and you can tell that no one is searching people's bodies for loot from the safe zone.
Safety Rules
Doctor Offices , law offices & saloons are safety zones.
If a scene starts outside of a safety zone and proceeds into one the scene may continue.
You may not use a safety to end a interaction.
Committing Crimes/Responding To Crimes
When going to commit a heist crime or responding, you should be prepared for interaction.
As a criminal you should be prepared to find an organic hostage and not a fake hostage.
The number of hostages you have will give you demands you can use as a tool to get away from the law. As law you should be prepared to comply with the hostage and not storm the building as you should value the life of a player.
When responding to petty crimes, you should not W chase and instead allow RP to play out in the situation and then make the arrest.
What Is A Fake Hostage?
A fake hostage is someone who is close to you that has volunteered to be a hostage. When doing a heist you should have someone you do not know to be hostage and is taken forcefully. This creates organic RP.
Camps
You may NOT have more than 2 camps per group so others may have a chance to lay down a camp in the county in a location they want to build.
You may not build on any points of interest on the map.
Points of interest include
- Fences
- Material shops
- Drug Benches
Or any other point of interest in the county.
Camp taxes are due on the 15th of each month failure to pay them will result in a lose of the camp without a refund.
Pocket Wiping/Robbing players
Any form of aggression, including shootings, must be preceded by meaningful roleplay interactions. This means civilians must establish a narrative and context to their aggressive actions. Random, unprovoked acts of violence are prohibited. All actions must be justified within the storyline and character development. This means you have to have a roleplay reason to rob someone.
When robbing players saying a simple, "Put your hands up!" is not a enough, it is just a start. There must be a proper interaction during the robbery creating a good scene. A quick rope and rob is not enough.
Any reports of low quality roleplay or rule breaking will be reviewed by Admins. Recordings of the full interaction are required for low-quality roleplay reports. Repeated offenses may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans.
In Forbidden West, you are allowed to take up to 5 items on a person. This includes stackable items. If a person is carrying 60 apples and takes the whole stack that counts as 1 item stolen. In the 5 items, you may only take up to 2 guns out of those 5 items. Money also counts as an item. You may only take 5 items per person in a group. Ex: If 4 people are robbing 2 people, you may only take 5 items from each person. The people in your group may not take more than 5 items from each person in the group that you are robbing. As long as there
You may ONLY rob or kill, not both, UNLESS you are robbing a settlement or bank. The settlement defenders may take money, bags of gold. Players countering banks may take bags of gold, and money from players they successfully down but nothing more.
You may not rob downed players. Law may take items needed
If you try to rob someone and they NVL you may take 2 items from them after downing them. This would only include ether one weapon and a item or two items.
Criminals must wait 30 minutes between each robbery to avoid chain robberies. A group of people count as one scene.
You may not rob on duty sheriffs or doctors
Identifying criminal’s
When a crime is committed you cannot identify the criminal based on (1. Voice if they have on a mask (2. The horse they ride there can be many horses that look alike. (3. If their clothes are completely different than what they normally wear. Example - If a Criminal robs the Innocent, the Innocent can’t take information that was learned based on voice or horse from running into the Criminal when the criminal is dressed completely differently. If the Criminal is someone you know but is normally in a blue shirt, black pants, black coat, blue bandana, and a black hat. But decide to commit a crime in a completely different outfit, you can not identify them based on the clothing. You will need more information about the criminal to be able to use that as credible evidence. For example, if the criminal has custom guns, and you see them.
You can not change clothes for 30 minutes after you commit a crime.
Dueling
When dueling in the county it is considered an automatic perma if you lose.
You must have a settlement member around to confirm the time of death
You may not duel for fun as this is considered a failed RP.
Body Dumping/Seeing The Light
You may dump dead bodies into the water after 3 aggressive interactions. You may also force people to see the light. Once the 3rd interaction happens and you body dump a player that ends the conflict you had with the player. A new one may organically happen from another instance but the one you had leading up to the body dump ends.
If you are dumped into the water you may not remember anything that happened in the altercation.
Other Players may not get your body if you are dumped.
This does not count in raids, in raids you may force people to see the light in order to get them to forget the raid and not use against you in later roleplay.
NLR (New Life Rule)
Being Revived By A Player
If you are revived by a syringe, or any other tool used by a player to get revived while down, you can remember the events that have led up to the point.
Here are examples of what kills your memory:
Syringe/Witches Potion/Vitality Potion= You remember everything
Jarvis= You will forget the last 30 minutes after Jarvis Revives you (Example: You were gunned down and someone aided you by bringing you back to Jarvis, you would forget the gunfight leading up to Jarvis reviving)
Body Dumped in water = You will forget everything that happened
Seeing The Light = You will forget everything that happened
Note: If a player is in clothing you do not recognize you may not voice ID them.
Difference between Downed & Dead- Downed means downed (unconscious) Dead means you are perma'd
Taking the Light:
If you’re downed and take the light YOU MAY NOT REMEMBER any interaction that took place
